Farming organically increases soil carbon

A new publication from the Agroecology lab uses meta-analysis to compare best management practices for increasing soil carbon in organically managed farms. We found that best management practices can increase soil carbon by 18%. We also found that some practices (like cover cropping) can take 10 years of before you start to see increases in soil carbon, but it’s worth the wait!
