Mary Gumerov

Undergraduate intern (Fall 2020)

Mary Gumerov is a senior majoring in Environmental and Resource Economics and minoring in Soil Science. Their agricultural experiences started young as they spent their summers in a Russian village helping in their grandparents' garden. Gardening with their family led them to develop a passion for preserving one of our most overlooked natural resources: soil. In 2020, they worked at Terp Farm and were a member of the Soil Judging Team, which won regionals in the fall of 2019. Mary aspires to pursue a career in soils and sustainable agriculture after they graduate.
