Lauren Black

Undergraduate Fall Intern (2023)

Lauren Black is a Junior at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she is majoring in Plant Biology. Lauren’s interest in the environment began during her childhood in Florida in her grandmother’s garden, where she learned how the uniqueness of each season influenced the plants every year, never to be exactly the same again. Her lab experience began in 2022 during an internship at the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory in Solomons, MD, and was then continued at UMD during the SOARE: SWAG program in the summer of 2023. Lauren has joined the AgroEcoLab for the Fall 2023 semester and is excited to enhance her research experience.
