Shahrzad (Lili) Badri
PhD student
Lili Badri is a PhD student in the AgroEcoLab starting Fall 2021. She attended SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry for her Master's degree in Environmental Science. There she worked under Dr. Colin Beier with research focused on dissolved organic carbon dynamics at a forested watershed impacted by acidic deposition and climate change. She also received her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the University of South Alabama. Her undergraduate research under Dr. Alexandra Stenson focused on method development for nondestructive determinaton of fulvic acid concentrations and trace analysis of artificial sweeteners as a proxy for wastewater contamination. She is excited to apply her research skills and background in organic carbon to study the influence of saltwater intrusion on the Delmarva Peninsula.
